Tidewater Unit 2417

WOW....those views!!
I couldn't describe how amazing it was to look out over the water while staying in this condo, I miss it now that we're home! This condo had so much space for us to spread out and enough seating in the living room for us all to relax and watch TV at the end of the day. Tidewater has great amenities and parking was much easier than I thought. They just updated some of the elevators so we hope to come back in the summer!

Book this place!
Great place to stay! The views are simply magnificent! It’s a corner condo so you have views that wrap around the living room and they are gorgeous! I read the reviews and people were complaining about the elevators but we had no problem. You need to go with the expectation that in any condo you were going to have to wait for the elevator. If you don’t realize that, then you shouldn’t be staying in a condo. But our wait times were not bad at all especially considering there’s an elevator right by the condo door. This condo owner provides floats and sand buckets and kites and all kinds of fun things for the beach and the pool! There are also two beach chairs and an umbrella that are provided with the condo that you can easily check out as soon as you get onto the beach via the little Hut station. Our group of 8 was able to spread out and felt right at home! Book this place! You won’t be disappointed!

Perfect View for the Air Show
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Perfect View for the Air Show
We booked this room for my daughter's birthday and also to watch the air show over the pier. It did not disappoint. The room was clean and well stocked. Tidewater amenities were excellent and it was super nice to have everything you need on property. Thanks again for letting us stay.

This condo itself was beautiful with a beautiful view. But granted the elevators did not work properly so my husband had to walk down 23 flights of stairs, we then started looking at reviews on the resort and everyone had a complaint about the elevators from what I seen, we had no power nor water on our first day and was stuck at the pool with my handicapped mother, then on our last day the elevators wouldn’t work at all. I contacted the host and all she said was “she contacted tidewater resort and they said the elevators are working” I took two different videos of different elevator locations that showed they were not working and then 30 minutes later they have signs up stating the elevators are down for maintenance. I feel like the situation should have been handled better as we didn’t complain about not having water or power the first day but we complained about not being able to get down to the pool. Needless to say we will never book at this resort ever again.

Hi, Tiffany. Thank you for your review. While I do apologize for the inconvenience with the elevators, I’m not sure what more could have been done. I spoke with both the Tidewater front desk and security and they both told me there were working elevators. Tidewater is a very large complex and as you shared, there are many reviews regarding the elevators there. Wait times are to be expected and unfortunately sometimes things do break. I am not licensed or trained in elevator repair or I would’ve been happy to try to fix them for you. In the future, when traveling,
especially with someone with mobility issues, I would suggest booking a lower floor. You never know when maintenace issues will arise or a true emergency such as a fire. Something to consider. Otherwise, I am glad you liked the unit and overall enjoyed your stay.
